FORCHET GEOLOGICAL TRAIL
The Forchet, a vast and wood-covered rock slide area, is a landscape that has only been negligibly altered by men. It is completely different from the surrounding landscapes of the entrance of the Ötztal valley. This natural hiking trail is also meant to generate respect for nature and to enable an encounter with nature without reservation.

OLD VILLAGE CENTER OF OETZ
Despite bustling building activities since WWII and the people’s desire for modern housing many buildings in the old part of Oetz have been preserved. Especially picturesque is the architecturally unspoilt center with its accumulation of old buildings, that are built close to each other.
TOWER MUSEUM
This unique Tower Museum surprises with its architectural variety, ranging from the Romanesque period to today. The exhibitions focus on pictures and images!

ÖTZI VILLAGE
Get an insight into the way of life and housing at the times of Ötzi, the Iceman. The wonderful Ötzi Village Museum covers an outdoor area of 9,000m², showing an array of archaeological findings. Enjoy a journey back to the early Stone Ages while enjoying the museum's great location in close vicinity to the Stuibenfall waterfalls.
ÖTZI'S PLACE OF FINDING
"Ötzi" the Iceman was found at an altitude of 3,200m on 19 September 1991, and is the most ancient finding of a European hunter. This unique discovery gave fresh impetus to Alpine archeology within Similaun glacier and the Ötztal Alps. The 5,300-year old mummy was discovered by chance by a German couple hiking around in this area (3,200m, Tisenjoch saddle).
PIBURGER SEE LAKE
A lovely natural lake, the biggest and warmest lake of Ötztal valley! It is called the "mirror of the mountains" due to the breathtaking location right amid the peaks and summits.
